Outrage As BBC Axes 'Doctor Who Confidential'

Fans of axed BBC show Doctor Who Confidential have reacted with anger on Twitter, with one even claiming it's the "end of my life."

BBC bosses have decided to end the popular spin-off programme because of budget cuts.

Doctor Who Confidential became a firm favourite with Doctor Who fanatics, who were given a chance to see behind-the-scenes of the show.

Charlie McDonnell who appears on the show tweeted: "Really sad to hear that Doctor Who Confidential has been axed. I had a lot of fun working on that show :(."

The response from fans ranged from anger, to disbelief, to despair. One fan said: "Bad bad mistake Beeb!" While another said: "They've cancelled Doctor Who Confidential? No. NO. NOOOOO.

"I am very annoyed. VERY annoyed. Can't they cancel Doctors instead?"

Where as others just seemed stunned: "BBC3 has axed Doctor Who Confidential as part of budget cuts. Our thoughts: Can it be that expensive to make?"

Another tweeted: "Just found out BBC cancelled doctor who confidential. end my life"

"Doctor Who Confidential has been cancelled! Gutted! Is this proof that Doctor Who is no longer bullet proof in the eyes of the Beeb?" said a questioning fan.

A spokeswoman for the BBC said: "Doctor Who Confidential has been a great show for BBC3 over the years but our priority now is to build on original British commissions, unique to the channel."

Even though it's gone there's still a chance to enjoy some of the best bits in our slideshow below.
