A recent study reveals that a third of Brits love to get stuck into a good book before the lights go out - and much prefer it to having sex.
Only 0.5 per cent of those questioned feel in the mood for lovemaking come bedtime, with 14 per cent of them being more inclined to check their Facebook pages or reply to emails, than having sex.
Other bedtime pursuits that ranked higher than sex included speaking to a relative on the phone, laying their clothes out for the next day and making a hot drink, according to the poll by Benson Beds.
However, passion is not completely dead, as 50 per cent admit to having a kiss and cuddle before they nod off.
"It shows that we're all creatures of habit and simply like to relax before going to sleep, says a spokesperson from the study.
