A looter who was filmed pulling a motorcyclist off his moving bike during the Croydon riots has been jailed for five years and 10 months.
Ryan Kichenside, 18, pleaded guilty to robbery after stealing the Aprilla scooter and £1,700 in cash and documents contained within its pannier on August 8.
He received two years and six months for the robbery. The father-of-one, of South Norwood, also admitted looting two shops and a charge of violent disorder, for which he was sentenced to two years in a young offenders institution.
His sentences, which are to run consecutively, combine as the longest yet issued for an offence related to the London riots.
The footage of Kichenside racing after the bike and then dragging his victim to the ground appeared on YouTube and eventually led to his identification.
His victim, Jason Barton, suffered a fractured ankle after he was crushed under the bike.
In a victim impact statement, Mr Barton said: “Without warning, someone jumped on my back, had both hands on my neck in a headlock type grip and pulled my body to the ground.”
Kichenside’s sentencing comes as Scotland Yard published pictures of more than 60 people convicted for committing offences during the London riots.
The 66 convicted individuals, of which Kichenside is among, were jailed for a combined total of more than 95 years.
