A Japanese artist is making waves by painting three-dimensional goldfish using acrylic paint layered over clear resin.
The fish are painted layer by layer, with the sandwiched slices revealing slight more about each creature, similar to the function of a 3D printer.
ICN gallery, which is hosting a selection of Fukahori's works in London until tomorrow said: "Ten years ago when Fukahori faced a struggle with his artistic vision, an inspiration came to him from painting his pet goldfish.

"Ever since then, his passion has developed into an unique style of painting; using acrylic painted on clear resin poured into containers, resulting in a three-dimensional appearance with a lifelike vitality."
