What is it about Germany that makes it so good at producing cute bears?
Everyone remembers polar bear Knut's loveable beginning (if not his sad end) and now it seems like there are two contenders for his furry throne.
Three brown bears born at the Knuell wildlife park near Hamburg in January 2012 were presented to the public for the first time on Friday.
The impossibly cute members of the species ursus arctos were presented by keeper Werner Bickel while nearby two older members of the family played for the cameras.
Elsewhere in Germany, at Hamburg Zoo, another bear was pictured having an equally enjoyable time.
Nanuq the polar bear was photographed bathing in the water after not swimming for four days during maintenance on her pool.
