'Strictly Come Dancing' Star Victoria Pendleton Tells of Weight Loss Since London Olympics

Pendleton Reveals Dramatic Change In Shape

'Strictly Come Dancing' star Victoria Pendleton has revealed she is having to dump her old clothes barely three months after quitting cycling due to her huge weight loss.

The Olympic velodrome star said her body was becoming more "feminine" and "girly" after years of bulking-up and building huge muscles in her thighs.

Victoria has been dancing with Brendan Cole for the BBC One dance show, her first new direction since bowing out of her sport.

The Olympic star has lost a lot of muscle since replacing cycling with dancing

And writing in her diary for Radio Times she said: "I have lost about five kilos, mostly in muscle mass from my bum and thighs. I look down at my legs and they don't really feel like mine any more.

"And I'm having trouble with my clothes - everything is looking a bit looser, nothing fits well and my jeans, which used to be tight on my bum and thighs, are practically falling off me."

She said it was "sad" to see her old body disappear after devoting herself to cycle track domination for so many years, even though she acknowledged many women would welcome the chance to become naturally slim.

Pendleton used to guzzle protein shakes at all hours to keep up her weight and her muscle. But now she says: "I snack on chocolate-covered rice cakes and my body is turning back into a more feminine, girly shape."
