The Daily Mail website was caught with its trousers down on Saturday evening thanks to the ingenuity of an impoverished meme creator.
The site embedded a live meme in a story highlighting Beyonce’s turn during the Super Bowl, which the meme creator seemingly spotted and changed.
Rather than a moving picture of the the former Destiny's Child singer on the page, readers were greeted with an admonishment for the paper itself, the publication apparently linking to the work without consent.

The updated meme was quickly replaced no doubt by an ashen-faced night editor… but not before Huff Post UK managed to take a screen grab.
