Former Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has signed a deal to write her autobiography, following her ex bandmate Cheryl Cole in publishing a memoir.
The singer, who reached the final of 'Strictly Come Dancing' last year losing out to Louis Smith, will release her book in the autumn.
Kimberley - who also released her debut solo album 'Centre Stage' earlier this year - said: "People have been asking me to tell my story for years but it never felt right while the band was still together.
"Now, as we all turn the next page in our lives, it feels like the perfect time for me to share with my fans what my life is really like."
Girls Aloud - formed through ITV series 'Popstars: The Rivals' in 2002 - announced they were splitting last month after a reunion arena tour.
The book is to be released by the Headline Publishing Group.
Deputy publishing director Sarah Emsley said: "Her book is sure to be packed full of the warmth and laughter that makes Kimberley such a national treasure and reading it will feel like curling up on the sofa for a gossip with an old friend."
Cheryl's autobiography was published last year.
