If you've thought that the cost of feeding yourself -- and your family -- has soared in recent years, well you're not imagining it.
According to a fascinating infographic (below) put together by goodtoknow.co.uk, based on statistics from DEFRA (The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), food prices have risen by 12% in the last year.
But the good news is that rather than resorting to cheap ready meals, us Brits are rolling up our sleeves, digging out those aprons and getting baking.
Sadly, we're also allowing ingredients to go to waste, with the combined cost of throwing vegetables, potatoes and fruit estimated at £408 a year, per family.
