Ed Miliband Hailed A 'Hero' After He Helps Cyclist Who Fell From Her Bike

Ed Miliband, Action Hero

Ed Miliband has been hailed as an "action hero" today by a woman cyclist after he came to her aid when she tumbled from her bike.

Ella Phillips, 29, thought she must have concussion when the first thing she saw after going over her handlebars was the Labour leader's face looming over her.

And she said her confusion was heightened because Miliband looked "suave", rather than geeky as he is often portrayed.

After helping her on to the pavement and making sure she was all right, he disappeared before Phillips had a chance to thank him, but he will get his reward nonetheless, as the north London artist said she would "definitely" now vote for him.

Is this what the fallen cyclist saw? MiliMan?

According to the Camden New Journal, the accident happened when the cyclist had to make an emergency stop outside Kentish Town Underground station, near Mr Miliband's north London home, last Thursday.

Phillips told the New Journal: "He mysteriously appeared out of nowhere, a bit like an action hero... I started to wonder how badly I'd banged my head. My first thought was that I was seeing things because I was still in quite a daze.

"He kept asking if I was OK, if I was hurt. He was there for a good few minutes.

"What added to all the confusion was that he was actually attractive and not geeky at all. Even the way he appeared was suave. He was dressed casually but he had style. I'll definitely be voting for him now."

On visiting a hospital the next day, Phillips discovered she had fractured her arm in the fall.

A spokesman for Miliband confirmed that he had helped a cyclist, but declined to comment further. The Camden New Journal said it had not been contacted by Labour about the incident.
