Ryan Giggs made a record 145th Champions League appearance for Manchester United at Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday night.
The Welshman edged ahead of Raúl when he was introduced at the expense of Marouane Fellaini in the second period to become the competition's most experienced player, including qualifers.

"He was always going to be needed tonight because of his experience," United manager David Moyes said.
"And he became the player who has played the most number of matches in the Champions League, which is incredible."
United drew 1-1 in the Donbass Arena but on the night of another milestone for Giggs, it is time to remember some of his finest moments in the competition over the past two decades.
