Putting her racism controversy after performing at the American Music Awards in a "geisha-inspired" outfit behind her, US chart topper Katy Perry is now set to perform at the Brit Awards for the first time in 2014.
The 'Roar' singer, who won a Brit in 2009 for best international female and has been shortlisted for three others, said she was "honoured to play at such a prestigious event".
James Corden will act as the music award show's host for the fifth time but it will be his last stint as presenter.

The actor and comedian is the longest serving presenter of the annual event.
"I really love the Brits. I'm such a fan. I'll miss not doing it after this one but fully intend to enjoy every second of Brits 2014," James said in a statement.
