X Factor’ singer Ella Henderson has unveiled the brand new music video for her debut single ‘Ghost’.

You’d be forgiven if you’d slightly forgotten about Ella - she finished in sixth place on ‘The X Factor’ back in 2012 - but almost two years after bowing out of the TV show, she’s finally releasing her first single.

Since her elimination, Ella has signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco, and has been keeping her head down and working on her debut album - which is more than we can say about for one of her fellow ‘X Factor’ contestants.

Ella co-wrote her debut single with Ryan Tedder, best known for his collaborations with Adele, Beyoncé and Leona Lewis

After listening to ‘Ghost’, we think it’s fair to say that it was worth waiting for - the track is catchy enough to stand up to repeated listens while still showing a maturity beyond Ella's 18 years.

Ella was a fan favourite from the early stages of her series of ‘The X Factor’, after wowing the judges with her own composition at her first audition.

Despite being a favourite to win the show, Ella eventually finished the show in sixth place after losing in the sing-off to eventual winner James Arthur, which provoked an outcry from viewers.

‘Ghost’ is taken from Ella’s debut album ‘Chapter One’, both of which will be available later this year.

She's previously said the album will be "honest", and will contain "emotive" and songs which she says "represent me and who I am".
