Man Kicks Cat On Video, The Internet Tracks Him Down

If there is one way to really infuriate the internet, it's to hurt animals.

So when Andre Robinson and his friends allegedly posted a video of him luring in a friendly cat, only to kick it viciously into the air, the internet justice mob tracked him down.

Eagle-eyed viewers of the video found that it was shot in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York, after it was shared thousands of times, according to New York Magazine.

Police quickly tracked down Robinson and arrested him on a charge of aggravated criminal assault.

An arrest report obtained by the paper states that the poor kitty flew about 20 feet. Veterinarians said a fall from that height could have caused serious injury to the animal.

Cops said it was a planned attack, in which Robinson said, "Watch this," before tempting the cat over with a few head scratches before .

Neighborus said the stray had been hanging around for months and was playful and friendly, but they haven't seen him in days.

The 21-year-old has eight prior arrests, including one for a knifepoint robbery in 2011, the New York Daily News reports.

This is what eventually led cops to Robinson, who was familiar with police at an area precinct:
