Eagle-eyed viewers of the video found that it was shot in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York, after it was shared thousands of times, according to New York Magazine.
Police quickly tracked down Robinson and arrested him on a charge of aggravated criminal assault.

The 21-year-old has eight prior arrests, including one for a knifepoint robbery in 2011, the New York Daily News reports.
