Next time you put on your bikini, think twice before fretting over your wobbly bits. Because, as this group of brave and beautiful breast cancer survivors show, there's more to life.
The women have teamed up with a group of Finnish fashion designers to model a swimwear collection like no other - the pieces in Monokini 2.0 are designed for women who have undergone a mastectomy as a result of breast cancer.
"Swimwear is conventionally designed for women who haven’t suffered a mastectomy," say the founders.
"We want to incite a positive self-image of breast-operated women by showing that you can be whole, beautiful and sexy even with just one breast or with no breasts at all."
Bold, beautiful and empowering, the collection is one of fashion's most powerful collaborations to date.
The project is the brainchild of Elina Halttunen, who features in the first image above.
Speaking about the project she says: "I do not want to hide, I do not want to stop swimming, I do not want to undergo extensive plastic surgery operations, and I do not want to be forced to use the uncomfortable prosthesis on the beach.
"I want to feel as free and active as I did before my cancer, and Monokini 2.0 gives me a chance to do exactly that."
