Paul McCartney is set to spend two more nights in hospital in Tokyo, according to reports.
The former Beatles singer was taken ill in Japan earlier this week and forced to cancel a string of concerts. Now sources are stating that he’ll be spending another 48 hours in the Tokyo hospital.

According to The Sun, Macca is set to take some time out of his busy touring schedule.
“He wants to be constantly active, even though he’s over 70 now,” one of Paul’s pals reportedly told the paper. “Getting him into hospital made sure that he’d actually take some time out to recuperate.
“We’re expecting him to spend a couple more days in hospital so he’s fully recovered.”
“Since contracting a virus last week that led to the postponement of tour dates, Paul received successful medical treatment at a hospital in Tokyo,” it read.
"He will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days rest.
“Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes he has received from fans all over the world."
Paul is due to play 19 concerts in the US beginning with a gig in Texas on 14 June. At present, those concerts are still due to go ahead as planned.
