The loom band craze is gaining momentum, and bracelets are being replaced by braces and dresses as children - and, let's be honest, their parents - become more adept at weaving the multicoloured bands together.
The man responsible for the playground sensation, Cheong-Choon Ng, has said that he created his Rainbow Loom after watching his two daughters using their fingers to weave elastic bands together to make bracelets.
He decided to build the loom so that it would be possible to make more intricate designs using the bands, but we wonder if he ever imagined just how intricate those designs would become!
One of the first loom band dresses to appear on eBay received a winning bid of £170,000, although sadly the buyer pulled out as her finances wouldn't stretch to cover the cost.
Since then everything from mankinis to bumbags have started appearing on the online auction site, with prices ranging from as little as 99p for ballet pumps, right up into the thousands for handcrafted dresses.
Despite being banned in some schools, loom bands are continuing to gain fans. Even celebrities have been swept up in the craze, with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Emma Bunton and even the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sporting jewellery made from the brightly coloured bands.
We've yet to see anyone make a red carpet appearance in a loom band dress but we're sure it won't be long!
