Zara Phillips gave up riding during her pregnancy, but admitted she was keen to compete soon after giving birth.
And of course she did just that, and was back in the saddle three months after the birth of baby Mia Tindall earlier this year.
This weekend, Zara brought along her biggest fans - her daughter and husband Mike Tindall- as she competed in the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire.
The six-month-old baby, who was looking pretty in a pink Gap top, white shorts and a little floppy sunhat, spent time with her mum giggling and smiling!
Since giving birth, Zara has proved adept at multi-tasking; often seen looking after her daughter and managing some other situation just as she prepares to get on a horse at some big event.
Zara's sister-in-law, Autumn Phillips, was also keen to get in some auntie/niece time and the pair enjoyed cuddles as they watched the royal horse rider in action.
And the international riders event yesterday was a true family affair with dad Mike Tindall showing his support alongside Princess Anne.
Riding is a bit of a tradition in the Phillips family, with Zara and her parents all accomplished equestrians. So perhaps the family is wanting to build little Mia's interest in the sport early so she can follow in their footsteps?!
Zara Phillips has had quite a week - mingling (and giggling) with the likes of Tom Cruise at Goodwood races to riding in an international event with her family watching on. Well that's the life of a royal!
