Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding is the happy-ever-after ending to a love story that began when they worked together on the film 'Mr and Mrs Smith', back in 2004.
Although Jennifer Aniston was pretty devastated by the sudden end of her own seemingly fairytale marriage to one of the world's most popular film stars, she wasn't the first, or last, spouse to suffer the fall out of some particular fairy dust that seems to sprinkle over actors and actresses when they're left on a film set together.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie indulged in some Method acting for 'Mr and Mrs Smith'
Although Brad and Angelina's romance seemed pretty shocking at the time, and covered the front of many a magazine cover, it wasn't the most shocking union to have emerged from a film set.
That epithet still belongs to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, and their steamy affair on the Roman set of 'Cleopatra'. Their blatant goings-on, delaying production, causing the studio to go way over budget, never mind causing all kinds of upset to their spouses left back home, caused even the outraged Pope at the time to voice his displeasure at their conduct.
Whatever the decade, it does seem as though hours of sitting around - often in locations far away from the rest of humanity - with only each other for distraction and amusement has led to innumerable romantic unions being forged as the camera winds.
Here are some of the steamier ones, that didn't wrap with the final reel, but somehow stood the test of time.
