Apple will reportedly launch the next-generation of iPads later this month, unveiling the iPad Air 2 as well as a brand-new version of the iPad Mini.
As well as these new tablets Bloomberg reports that the company will also be unveiling a gold version of the iPad, bringing the tablets in line with the iPhone's range of colours.
At present the iPad Air and iPad Mini are both offered in either White or Space Grey with a gold version remaining elusive to consumers.
According to the site, sources close to the production of the tablet believe Apple's decision to release a new iPad and update the colour range is all part of an effort to boost sales.
In addition to the new colours it seems likely that the new iPad's will be drastically thinner than before while offering Retina Displays and possibly the addition of Touch ID in place of the traditional Home Button.
With a tentative release date of late October for the new iPad Air 2, consumers won't have long to wait before they found out what Apple has been working on with its new tablets.
