The logo for a major sporting event has been unveiled and - as seems to be becoming the custom for this type of thing - it resembles something completely unrelated to what it represents.

It was unveiled in spectacular fashion aboard the International Space Station - on a piece of paper.
FIFA President Sepp Blatter and Secretary Genera Jerome Valck were then in Moscow to beam it onto the Bolshoi Theatre where football fans got their first glimpse.
The logo is said to "reflect the heart and soul" of Russia and incorporates the cultural traditions for which the country is known.
But some have pointed out that it simply resembles Roger the alien from 'American Dad'.
Oh dear.
But it follows in a grand tradition. Who could forget the World Cup 2014 'facepalm'...
