After being crowned last year’s ‘X Factor’ winner, Sam was signed to the music mogul’s Syco label, joining the ranks of One Direction, Ella Henderson and Susan Boyle.

She released ‘The Power Of Love’, an album of covers, in March, and while it did reach the top of the charts right in time for Mother’s Day, she has confessed that she fears her time at the label may be up.

“There is a cooling-off period and then there are negotiations, so we’ll see. I could be unemployed tomorrow.”

Sam’s uncertainty comes as a new act joins the Syco roster, following Ben Haenow’s ‘X Factor’ victory over the weekend.

His debut single, a cover of OneRepublic’s ‘Something I Need’, looks set to bag the Christmas number one spot on Sunday, ahead of Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’, a track he was forced to release a month early after Fleur East performed it during the ‘X Factor’ semi-finals.

It has been previously reported that Simon was so impressed with Fleur that he would be willing to sign her up to his label even without her winning the competition.

Ben isn’t the only new addition to the Syco family in 2014, though, as back in March he also signed upTamera Foster, who finished in fourth place, behind Sam, in ‘The X Factor’ 2013.
