The performance, which featured ‘The Sound Of Music’, ‘A Few Of My Favourite Things’, ‘Edelweiss’ and ‘Climb Ev’ry Mountain’, became the night’s most-shared moment on social media.

Julie, who joined Gaga on stage at the end of the performance, added that she has now found a new friend in the 28-year-old singer.

The star is set to walk down the aisle with her fiancé Taylor Kinney, after he got down on one knee and proposed on Valentine’s Day.

Sharing a pic of her engagement ring on Instagram, the singer wrote: "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"
