If there's one unsung hero in the tech world it is Microsoft's Xbox Kinect sensor. Resigned to being the personal butler for millions of gamers it's actually an incredibly advanced series of sensors that can -- when put in the right hands -- do some pretty incredible things.
Artist Maria Takeuchi is the right pair of hands, and she's used those hands -- and an Xbox One Kinect sensor -- to create this utterly beautiful short video which shows what a computer sees when humans dance.
Using the considerably more powerful Xbox One Kinect sensor, Takeuchi was able to capture an astonishing amount of data, with thousands of movements tracked and connected through the software.
Once compiled and edited, the resulting video entitled "as·phyx·i·a" is beautiful to watch and also a reminder of just how far consumer technology has come.
