'Corrie' Actor Charlie Marries Long-Term Partner

Former ‘Coronation Street’ actor Charlie Condou has married his long-term partner Cameron Laux.

MORE 'CORRIE':

Charlie made the announcement himself on his Facebook page, revealing to his fans that he and Cameron, had tied the knot, 10 years to the day after going on their first date.

As reported by Attitude, the post revealed they’d decided to get married “quietly, with the kids, and a few close family peeps”, claiming: “We don’t want a fuss.”

The couple have a five-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son, who they co-parent with the children’s mother, Catherine Kanter.

Speaking to The Mirror last year, Charlie admitted he had no desire for a fancy, star-studded bash, claiming: “I don’t know how or when it’s going to happen, but we’ll probably just go off and do it quietly. No OK! wedding for us - unless the money is right!”

Charlie is best known for playing Marcus Dent in ‘Coronation Street’, but has also had roles in ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’ and ‘The Impressionists’.

He isn’t the only soap star heading down the aisle lately, though, as his former ‘Corrie’ co-star Michelle Keegan recently held her much-awaited wedding to ex-‘TOWIE’ cast member, Mark Wright.

Meanwhile, over on ‘Hollyoaks’, Kieron Richardson tied the knot with his partner of seven years in April, with the couple later announcing they were preparing to become parents in the near future, and had even found a surrogate to carry their child.
