Kosovo's parliament was filled with smoke on Thursday, after a disagreement over the countries ties with Serbia led one MP to set off what looked like a gas canister.
According to Reuters, Albin Kurti, leader of the opposition Self-Determination party, set off the device. Kurti is opposed to an EU brokered deal that would restore links between the two countries.
In a video of the incident, the smoke bomb is casually kicked around the well of the parliament as bemused MPs look on. Despite the smoke pouring into the chamber, most stand and watch rather than attempting to leave the room.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008. Ethnic tensions led to the 1998-1999 Kosovo War which saw Nato launch a bombing campaign against the Slobodan Milošević's Serbia.
