‘I'm A Celebrity': Spencer Matthews ‘Ordered To Rehab' To Treat Steroid Addiction Following Shock Axe From Show

Spencer 'Ordered To Rehab' After Shock 'I'm A Celeb' Axe

Spencer Matthews is set to check into rehab to treat his addiction to steroids, which saw him him axed from this year’s series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ over the weekend.

The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star, who arrived back in the UK on Sunday, has reportedly been ordered to seek help by his management.

The 27-year-old, who said he started taking steroids to prepare for a charity boxing match, had kept his addiction secret from his family.

“Their main priority is looking after Spencer and making sure he is on the straight and narrow.

“His family are distraught because they didn’t know what was going on. This has come out of the blue.”

Spencer’s agent is John Noel who helped former addict Russell Brand, 40, turn his career around.

After landing in Manchester, Spencer said: “Leaving was obviously not my call. I would do absolutely anything to still be in there. Was loving it.”

‘I’m A Celeb’ producers learned of the reality star’s steroid habit when he demanded more of the Class C drug before going into the jungle.

The decision was then made to remove him from the jungle-based show on medical grounds.

He went on to apologise to his friends and family, as well as his fans, adding: “Taking these pills was a serious error of judgment, which I hugely regret.

"I have disappointed my family, friends and fans and would like to apologise. I would like to thank ITV for the opportunity and their support, they're a class act.”
