The Nintendo NX, the company's next major games console, is expected to be a huge departure from the current Wii and Wii U according to new president Tatsumi Kimishima.
Speaking to Time Magazine, the new head of the company has said that Nintendo plans to make a console that's both completely unlike the PS4 and Xbox One and yet powerful enough to compete with both in terms of graphical quality.

Rumours from the Wall Street Journal suggest that the NX will be a mobile/console hybrid that'll blend the power of a next-generation console with the portability of the Nintendo 3DS.
We're not sure how that would work in terms of actually playing the games (the idea of a portable PS4 seems impossible at present), but knowing Nintendo it'll almost certainly be something we weren't expecting.
While still just a code word, Nintendo NX already reportedly has game developers on board with Square Enix working on titles for the as yet unannounced games console.
