Dolce & Gabbana has released its first ever collection of hijabs and abayas (the full length dresses often worn by Muslim women).
The lookbook was officially launched this week on Style.com/Arabia, featuring 20 images of the stunning new range.
In keeping with the label's spring/summer 2016 collection, the hijabs and abayas come in sheer georgette and satin weave charmeuse fabrics, with Sicilian lemon, daisy and rose prints trimmed with delicate lace.
The lightweight, but dramatically draped, designs are sure to appeal to a market that has, until now, largely been ignored by the fashion industry.
With H&M making history last year for featuring its first ever hijab-wearing Muslim model, let's hope 2016 sees other brands following suit.
