‘Winterwatch’ viewers were left tittering like schoolchildren when one of the hosts dropped an almighty innuendo on Tuesday (26 January) night’s edition of the BBC Two nature show.
Chris Packham got unintentionally saucy as he spoke about a particular type of bird he was going to show co-presenter Michaela Strachan in a preview of the next episode.
"I'll get Michaela out of bed to show her black cock in the flesh," he said.
Needless to say, the comment prompted a social media frenzy, with many fans taking to Twitter to laugh at the double entendre.
‘Winterwatch’ was introduced in 2012 to run alongside ‘Springwatch’ and ‘Autumnwatch’, which launched in 2005.
The franchise was originally fronted by Bill Oddie, Simon King and Kate Humble, with Chris replacing Bill after he quit the series in 2009.
Martin Hughes-Games also joined in 2009, while Michaela was an addition in 2011.
‘Winterwatch’ continues tonight at 8pm on BBC Two.
