Each of the potential contenders had their songs debuted on BBC Radio 2 on Monday morning, ahead of ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ which will see each of them battling it out for the coveted spot on live TV on Friday evening.

The first song we heard came from Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft, who teamed up after competing against one another in ‘The Voice’ back in 2015.

Their track ‘You’re Not Alone’ was followed by Bianca Claxton - who performs under the moniker Bianca - and her song ‘Shine A Little Light’.

Her song, it was later revealed on the UK Eurovision Twitter page, was co-written by former ‘X Factor’ winner Leona Lewis.

Third on the list was Dulcima and Tom, the imaginatively-named musical duo hoping to bring a touch of folk to Britain’s Eurovision offering for 2015.

The pair, who met while busking on the the streets of Canterbury, unveiled their offering ‘When You Go’, which was followed by song number four, which came from Matthew James.

Matthew, former lead singer of British boyband Bad Boys Inc, is hoping he can make it to Stockholm in May with his musical output, ‘Better Man’.

Fifth on the list is another duo, Darline, who appear in their promo picture both holding guitars, so you know they’re legit.

The pair previously supported UK country act The Shires on tour, and their song ‘Until Tomorrow’ preceded the final track on the list, which came courtesy of Karl William Lund.

His song ‘Miracle’ was the last to be played on Radio 2, completing the list of our potential Eurovision entries for 2016.

Unfortunately, none of our picks - which you can read below - made the cut...
