‘The Voice UK’: ITV To Scout At Open Mic Nights For 2017 Series

They've already revealed a new change to the audition process

The BBC haven’t even bid farewell to ‘The Voice UK’ yet, but already, ITV have announced new plans about how they’ll be doing things when they take over the show next year.

Bosses are wasting no time in making sure they have a selection of suitable hopefuls to pick from, and will be sending talent scouts to a series of open mic nights, set to take place this month.

The talent-spotters will be hidden in the audience at nights taking place up and down the country, in locations including York, Ipswich, Bangor, Bristol, and plenty more.

The full list of dates - which can be seen here - is still being updated.

ITV will air their first series of ‘The Voice’ in 2017, and rumour has it that a familiar face could be welcomed back to one of the show’s spinning chairs.

Tom Jones was less than pleased when BBC bosses ditched him with barely a moment’s notice, and according to reports, bosses are hoping the Welsh crooner will agree to return.

Meanwhile, on the current series of ‘The Voice’, BBC bosses have been forced to confront claims the show is fixed, after Paloma Faith’s admission that she arranged for Ricky Wilson to ‘steal’ one of her singers before Saturday night's battle round took place.
