BBC Three have revealed their first set of ratings figures since the channel went online-only.
It’s good news for the broadcaster too, as a number of shows, including drama ‘Thirteen’, scored plenty of viewers.
Figures calculated so far show that the first episode of ‘Thirteen’ had over 2.4 million requests on iPlayer, which is more than the latest ‘Sherlock’ special.
‘Cuckoo’ has also been a huge hit, with 1.2 million requests to play, while there have been one million for ‘Murdered By My Father’.
Damian Kavanagh, the channel’s digital controller, has shared his joy at the news in a blog.
“These are early days for BBC Three but I'm overjoyed with what we've achieved so far,” he writes. “It’s a marathon not a sprint but so far we’ve exceeded expectations.
