‘X Factor’ bosses have been dealt a blow, as it looks like Sharon Osbourne may not be able to return to the show.
Simon Cowell is keen to see the former judge return to the panel, according to reports, however her commitments in the US mean her comeback is in doubt.
Sharon currently stars on ‘The Talk’, which airs on every weekday, meaning an ‘X Factor’ comeback would be virtually impossible.
A source tells the Sunday People: “She’s an incredibly determined woman, as everyone involved in the ‘X Factor’ knows – but this looks almost impossible.”
Another adds: “Sharon is going nowhere from ‘The Talk’ – she’s a huge part of that show and is very much expected to remain.”
Earlier this month it was revealed that bosses are hoping Louis Walsh and Sharon will take their seats on the panel once again, and their return looked likely, especially as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has already confirmed that she won’t be returning.
Bosses are in the process of giving the show a shake-up, following last year’s disappointing ratings, which meant the show lost out to ‘Countryfile’ on a number of occasions.
It’s already been announced that Dermot O’Leary is returning as host, replacing last year’s presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.
