The ‘EastEnders’ team have teased fans ahead of Danniella Westbrook’s return to the soap, revealing a snap of the actress as Sam Mitchell.
Danniella will be back on our screens this week, as her family prepare for Peggy Mitchell’s funeral.
The actress, who played the Mitchell sister for 10 years, until 2000, and later returned for another stint in 2009.
Viewers will see Sam arrive back in Walford, where she delivers the news that Grant can't attend his mother's funeral.
She also sends Jack into a panic, when he realises she's also brought their son, Richard, back to Albert Square.
Danniella reunited with the cast to film her latest emotional scenes earlier this month, though she wasn’t exactly full of joy while discussing her comeback.
During an appearance on ‘Good Morning Britain’, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid asked the star whether she would have liked a longer stint on the soap.
Danniella replied: “Of course I would have done. I was quite upset at the time because I, I think, along with the general public, expected to work alongside Barbara [Windsor] and Ross [Kemp], and we don’t actually all do anything together at any one time.
“I sort of was [upset] actually as I thought it would have been nice to have us all together doing something. I literally go in for the funeral and out. I’m literally there for four episodes in one week.”
