A whole host of celebs have taken to Twitter to react to the EU referendum result, which has seen the Brexit campaign narrowly triumph.

One of the first was JK Rowling, who backed the Remain campaign, and expressed her shock in a simple tweet.

The ‘Harry Potter’ author wrote: "I don't think I've ever wanted magic more."

She followed that up with: "Scotland will seek independence now. Cameron's legacy will be breaking up two unions. Neither needed to happen."

Other stars followed suit, including James Corden, who was also shocked by the result, tweeting: "I can't get my head around what's happening in Britain. I'm so sorry to the youth of Britain. I fear you've been let down today."
