‘Celebrity Big Brother’ bosses have roped in another US star to take part in the upcoming series of the reality show, according to reports.

Before you get too excited, no it isn’t Angelina Jolie or Beyoncé, or even Taylor Swift (although she could probably do with some good publicity right now).

In actual fact, the Daily Star are claiming that ‘CBB’ producers have snagged US reality star Aubrey O’Day, who found fame on the MTV show ‘Making The Band’, spawning the band Danity Kane.

After going it alone as a solo artist, when she clashed with her bandmates on the show, Aubrey took on several roles in musical theatre and also made an appearance on the ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.

Now, before we all go furrowing our brows and muttering about how we don’t need any more Z-list reality stars clogging up the ‘CBB’ house, let’s remember that stars including Farrah Abraham and Tiffany Pollard have been flown over from the US in the past, and wound up being the stars of their respective series.

In other words, you may not have heard of Aubrey, but that doesn’t mean she won’t bring plenty of drama across the Atlantic with her.

Channel 5

It’s thought that Aubrey will be joined by fellow US stars Renee Graziano - a cast member on the reality series ‘Mob Wives’ - and rapper Lil’ Kim, both of whom have been tipped for the line-up of the new series, while former ‘The Partridge Family’ actor David Cassidy is the most recent name linked with an appearance.

The new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ kicks off on Thursday, 28 July at 9pm on Channel 5.
