It hasn’t even been 24 hours since Kim Kardashian stunned us all by dropping that video of Kanye West on the phone to Taylor Swift, and already a plethora of celebrities have weighed in on the unexpected turn of events.
Now, though, it’s Piers Morgan’s turn, and the ‘Good Morning Britain’ host has made the unexpected move of admitting he may have been wrong about the whole situation in the past.
The presenter was discussing Kim’s recent Snapchat story, which appeared to show Taylor approving a section of lyrics in Kanye’s controversial track ‘Famous’, when he admitted to feeling let down by Taylor.
“Can we rename her Pinocchio Swift? I feel completely conned!” he told co-presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Arnold.
Turning his attention to the newly-released clips, he added: “Unfortunately, it’s that moment you get exposed for little porkie pies, Miss Swift. I wanted to believe in you, Taylor.
“I wrote a whole column about how she was a shining example. Now I have to look at myself and say, ‘You were conned, Piers’.”
Since Kim dropped the clips, a number of Taylor’s A-list pals appear to have jumped to the defence of the ‘Bad Blood’ star, by posting subtweets aimed at Kim and anyone who thinks the drama is interesting.
Meanwhile, Taylor herself has taken to Twitter, insisting that she definitely didn’t give Kanye the green light for the line, ‘I made that bitch famous’.
Your move, Kimye.
