Britain’s Bryony Page has won a silver medal in the trampoline at Rio - captivating a prime-time TV audience in the UK in the process.

The 25-year-old, who finished 10th at last year’s trampoline world championships in Odense, Denmark, scored 56.040 from her routine to finish runner-up behind Canada’s Rosannagh Maclennan.

Maclennan compiled a score of 56.465 to bag the gold medal, while world champion Dan Li of China sealed the final podium place with 55.885.

To put the success in context: no Brit has qualified for the final much less won a medal.

Her sliver came almost at the same time as Charlotte Dujardin led Team GB to another sliver in the dressage.

Which could only mean one thing ...

Trampolining on one side and horse dancing on the other. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? HORSE TRAMPOLINING.
