Girl Posts Photo Of New Headphones On Snapchat, Receives Sexually Explicit Message From Guy

'Boys wouldn’t send weird messages if you didn’t put up such slutty photos.'

A teenager has called out a man who sent her a sexually explicit message after she shared a photo of a bog-standard inanimate object online.

Catrin Williams, from Newport, Wales, shared a photo of some headphones on Snapchat along with the simple caption: “New headphones.”

In response, the 17-year-old received a message from a male user saying: “You wearing those, and nothing else, that would be heaven.”

She shared screenshots of the conversation on Twitter, along with the sarcastic caption: “Boys wouldn’t send weird messages if you didn’t put up such slutty photos.”

Williams’ post has been retweeted more than 31,000 times, with hundreds of people pointing out that a photo of headphones does not call for a sexual message.

“Look at those headphones just laying there on the bed all sexy and exposed. I mean they’re really asking for it,” Twitter user @thevelvetdress_ joked.

“How dare you put up ur headphones CURVES on your story,” user @MontahaAna added.

Speaking to the MailOnline, Williams said she “wasn’t all too surprised” when she received the initial message.

“I do get fairly odd messages like that often, as do most the girls I know,” she said.

More than anything I found it funny but I did think it was ironic how I’ve seen many people defend boys who send messages like that because they wouldn’t do it if girls didn’t put up ‘slutty’ photos.

“I thought I’d put it on Twitter in a jokey way but also to show people that boys will send these messages no matter what.”
