'Strictly Come Dancing': Brendan Cole States His Case To Replace Len Goodman

Brendan Cole has put forward his case to take over from Len Goodman on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judging panel.

Ever since Len announced he’d be stepping down as Head Judge at the end of this year’s series, Brendan’s name has repeatedly been linked to the ‘Strictly’ role.

He’s now revealed that he’d be keen to take over from Len, even listing why he thinks that he or his close friend and co-star Anton Du Beke would be the best for the job.

Speaking to The Sun, Brendan said: “I’ve done judging in a different country. And if you look at Anton and myself we’re definitely good at what we do and what you need to do to create good entertainment.

“I don’t agree with a lot of what the judges say - I’ve got 34 years of dance experience.

“I got to the top of my game and I didn’t do it the easy way - I worked my arse off to get there, so I’ve done the hard work.”

While Brendan and Anton have both been widely tipped for the new job - and even Len himself has said he wants a ballroom expert to take over - others have also been claimed to be in the running.

It was recently suggested that current ‘Strictly’ judge Craig Revel Horwood could be in for a promotion to Head Judge, while Helen Richey, who appears on on the Australian version of the show, has also been rumoured.

Before his replacement is announced, though, Len still has one series left on ‘Strictly’, which kicks off for a new run on Saturday (3 September).
