'X Factor' 2nd Live Show Sees Honey G Safely Through, Freddy Parker Out

Sharon Osbourne made another mistake, this time her act's name.

Honey G was so excited to go through to the next round of ‘The X Factor’, she threw herself on the floor when her name was announced.

The controversial rapper was the fifth act to be announced as safe on Sunday evening’s results show, following her performance of a Notorious B.I.G song on Saturday night, as part of the Motown Classics theme.

Emily Middlemas, Gifty Louise, 5 After Midnight and Matt Terry - all obvious choices - had already been announced as going through to the next round. Sam Lavery, Four of Diamonds and Relly C all followed.

It was a harder evening for Freddy Parker and Saara Aalto, especially after Saara’s own mentor temporarily forgot her name, and had to be reminded by Louis Walsh.

However, her version of Leona Lewis’ ‘Run’ did enough to impress the judges, and it was Freddy Parker who went home instead, despite an impassioned rendition of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’.

While Sharon and Louis voted for Saara, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell voted for Freddy, which meant it went to deadlock, and the public vote, before Freddy was sent home.

Previous winners of the show, Little Mix, performed their new song, ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, believed by many to be a musical rebuke to member Perrie Edwards’ former fiance Zayn Malik.
