’Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Ore Oduba is set to shimmy onto the ‘This Morning’ sofa, after landing a new presenting role.
The BBC sports presenter is set to guest host the ITV daytime show later this week, filling in for Phillip Schofield.
He will be fronting the programme with Holly Willoughby on Thursday (24 November), while Phillip is away with other filming commitments.
According to The Mirror, Ore has been given special permission to take time out of his ‘Strictly’ rehearsal schedule with partner Joanne Clifton to take on the role.
Speaking to the paper, he said: “I’m really excited to be hosting This Morning with Holly. I’ve watched and loved the show for years. For me, it’s one of TV’s crown jewels.
Ore was a guest on ‘This Morning’ earlier this month, and couldn’t hide his love for the show after his appearance.
He said: “Tried to play it cool on air... Now we’re done, can I just say I love ‘This Morning’. Thanks for having me.”
Ore was one of the six celebrities to survive the latest ‘Strictly’ elimination this weekend, which saw Greg Rutherford lose out to Claudia Fragapane in the dance off.
‘This Morning’ airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
