‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ contestant Martin Roberts has claimed he clashed with Larry Lamb in the jungle as the ‘Gavin & Stacey’ star was threatened by him.
The ‘Homes Under The Hammer’ presenter left the ITV reality show in a double elimination on Friday (4 December) night alongside footballer Wayne Bridge.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after his exit, Martin had his say on his clashes with Larry.
“I never had a problem with Larry, I think he had a problem with me,” Martin said.
“He was the patriarch of the group, he had these people under his wing and I think he felt somewhat threatened by me.
“I never deliberately rubbed him up the wrong way,” he added.
Larry laughed off any suggestion of a rivalry with Martin following his own exit from the jungle on Thursday night.
“All the friction between us was all on the camera,” he insisted. “He [Martin] said ‘have I upset you?’ I said ‘no, but the way you were going about things was not what we’d been doing here’.
“There was nothing unsettled. I’m sure Martin and I would have a wonderful working relationship, but neither of us would choose to live together.”
Meanwhile, Wayne was reunited with wife Frankie Bridge after being voted out of camp and admitted he had enjoyed his time in the jungle.
“I didn’t expect to have such a good time and I didn’t expect it to be so hard. I’m drained,” he said.
“I’m probably gonna get ripped when I get out for crying on TV but it is what it is.”
‘I’m A Celebrity’ continues tonight at 9.30pm on ITV.
