The celebrities who will be duetting with this year’s ‘X Factor’ finalists have seemingly been revealed, and it’s safe to say we’re not in for another Beyoncé moment.
As is tradition, the contestants will be pairing up with a famous name for a special performance during Saturday (10 December) night’s final.
And while their identities usually remain a secret ahead of the show, The Sun has claimed to know who will be gracing the stage this year.
Nicole Scherzinger is said to have called on James Arthur to perform with her finalist Matt Terry, having won the show with him in 2012.
Saara Aalto is said to be teaming up with former ‘American Idol’ star Adam Lambert, while it is claimed 5 After Midnight will be performing with The Weeknd.
Sam Smith reportedly turned down the chance to duet with Matt, with an insider telling the Daily Star: “Matt’s best performance of the whole series was singing ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’. Sam loved his version so it seemed the perfect plan to put them together. There’s still a slim chance but it doesn’t look like it will happen now.”
However, he is said to be one of the weekend’s guest performers, alongside former winners Little Mix.
Matt recently revealed how he had received messages of support from Sam, after performing his Bond theme ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’ earlier in the series.
“Sam has been incredible,” Matt told Heat magazine. “He messaged me and said, ‘You’re unreal, keep doing what you’re doing.’
“I think he’s an absolute genius and it would be incredible to work with him,” he added.
‘The X Factor’ final airs on Saturday (10 December) from 8pm on ITV.
