How the tables have turned.

With ‘Pokemon Go’ fever sweeping the world, the Basel tourism board has decided to shake things up a bit, sending a group of pranksters dressed as Pikachu out into their city to try and “catch” players with giant Pokeballs.

The hilarious video shows the group of four people driving and running around the Swiss city throwing giant painted balls at unsuspecting pedestrians.

The result was a lot of scared people running away from human-sized Pikachus, which makes for very interesting viewing - and, as a bonus, we also get to see some of Basel’s beautiful sights.

Capitalising on the popularity of Niantic’s location-based Pokemon game, the city’s tourism board has also set up a website offering tips and special offers to visiting players.
