Cold Feet’s series finale saw an old favourite make a comeback on Monday (24 October) night, as former nanny Ramona staged a surprise return.
Jacey Salles’ character popped up in the final episode of the ITV drama, as she returned to Manchester for Adam Williams’ 50th birthday party.
Ramona, who was Karen and David Marsden’s Spanish nanny in the original run of the show, had been notably absent from the new series, which was brought back after 13 years last month.
However, that all changed when she turned up for Adam’s (James Nesbitt) celebrations with a new man in tow.
But in true ‘Cold Feet’ style, it then transpired that her fella has been sleeping with Karen and David’s son Josh, who had returned from his gap year.
Viewers also saw the teen come out to his parents, which received a surprisingly good reaction from David (Robert Bathurst).
And it seems Ramona will be sticking around for the next series, which was confirmed by ITV earlier this month, as Karen (Hermione Norris) offered her a new job as her personal assistant.
Elsewhere, Adam finally got it together with his landlady Tina (Leanne Best), after weeks of will-they-won’t-they drama, and his split from his second wife, Angela.
Karen also received two shock proposals when ex-husband David asked her to marry him again, shortly before multi-millionaire ex-boyfriend Eddie (Art Malik) posed the same question.
But it doesn’t look like we’ll be hearing wedding bells in the seventh series, as she decided to walk away from both of them - but will she change her mind?
‘Cold Feet’ is due to commence filming the next series in May 2017, with ITV yet to confirm an air date.
