‘EastEnders’ have confirmed that yet another actor has quit the soap, and this time it’s Nitin Ganatra, who plays Masood Ahmed.
The actors has starred in ‘EastEnders’ since October 2007 and he’s now decided that it’s time for something new.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, he says: “When I trained as an actor, I set out to play many different characters and never did I know that I would be so fortunate to have found a character that I have loved playing for nine years.
An ‘EastEnders’ spokesperson adds: “We can confirm that Nitin will be leaving ‘EastEnders’. Nitin has been a wonderful addition to the cast for the past nine years and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Nitin is following a number of fan favourites out of the door, as last month it was announced that Rita Simmons and Samantha Womack, who play sisters Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell, will depart as part of an “explosive” storyline.
Lee Carter actor Danny-Boy Hatchard is also leaving the soap.
