The ‘I’m A Celebrity’ camp has reportedly been put on “lockdown”, after venomous spiders were found near where the contestants sleep.
According to The Mirror, a total of eight Funnel Web spiders were found in a “camera hide” at camp, and promptly removed.
Show staple Bob “Medic Bob” McCarron told the newspaper: “The Funnel Webs are the most dangerous spider in the world.
The poison from a Funnel Web spider can kill a human in as little as 15 minutes, which could potentially have been bad news for the current crop of celebrities.
Medic Bob has also revealed that a poisonous brownsnake was also found on the show’s helipad, explaining: “Normally we don’t get these - we haven’t had one for 15 years. They prefer open paddocks. Well last week we found one in the top helipad. They are very vicious snakes.”
While the campmates managed to avoid getting caught by one of the Funnel Webs, it seems two have been bitten by something totally different… the love bug.
Yes, viewers have noticed sparks between TV personality Carol Vorderman and comedian Joel Dommett, after they were caught chatting about the most romantic of all subjects: Maths.
‘I’m A Celebrity’ continues on Wednesday (16 November) at 9pm on ITV.
